The Borneo Bird Festival was organized jointly by Sabah Tourism Board and Borneo Bird Club Sandakan. This Festival was held at the Crocker Range National Park as well as at KotaKinabalu City from 20-22 October. This is the largest bird festival in Malaysia & has been over 30,000 people visited this festival. A series of activities have been planned throughout the three day event.
The theme for this year is "ProtectOur Songbirds and Hornbills". It aimed to create awareness towards heavy poaching and hunting of these beautiful birds in Sabah.
