Itinerary

DAY 1 Arrival Sandakan (-)

Arrive Sandakan Airport, meet and greet by our representative and proceed to transfer to your selected hotel/resort.Free at own leisure and overnight at selected hotel/resort.



DAY 2 Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabiliataion Centre / Bornean Sun Bear / Kinabatangan River Daytrip / Sandakan (B / L / -)

Breakfast at Hotel. Pick up from your hotel in Sandakan or Sepilok area, drive approximately forty mins to Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre. After registration, we proceed to Outdoor Nursery for a closer look of the younger orang utans. Then, we head to the Feeding Platform, to witness the feeding of orang utans. In time permits, watch the scheduled video programme about the Orang Utan (25mins) at the Nature Education Centre, pay a visit to the Exhibition Hall. After Sepilok, we take a leisure walk to the nearby Sun Bear Conservation Centre to see the world’s smallest bear in its natural environment. After tours, we depart to SJR for lunch. After lunch, drive overland to Bilit, Kinabatangan River, home to the 10 species of primates namely Proboscis monkeys, langurs, macaques, orang utan, slow loris, western tarsier, 8 species of hornbills such as Rhinoceros Hornbill, Pied Hornbill, Black Hornbill, Helmeted Hornbill (50kg, 120cm), kingfishers, bubuls, trogons, flycatchers, sunbirds, broadbills, herons, mangrove snakes, vipers, estuarine crocodile, asian elephants and many many more wildlife. Upon arrival, a warm welcome by the staff followed by an afternoon tea with some local bites After a short briefing by the nature guide, take an afternoon cruise (4.00pm) along the Kinabatangan River (Sabah’s longest river at 560km) where you can observe wildlife on the boat itself. After a short briefing by the nature guide, take a boat cruise (4.00pm) to view proboscis monkeys, birds & other wildlife at Kinabatangan River, the longest river in Sabah (560km). After the boat cruise, return to Sandakan and transfer back to respective hotels (arrival time at about 8.30+pm).Overnight at selected hotel.



DAY 3 Departure Day (B)

Breakfast at hotel. Free at own leisure/activity. Check out and pick up at hotel transfer to Sandakan Airport for your flight back home or next journey.
